Fallout 3 crowned at Gold Joystick Awards
Bethesda's epic RPG is the king of the hill at this year's Gold Joystick awards.
This afternoon the 27th annual Golden Joystick awards were handed out in London. The annual games award ceremony gives awards based on public vote and this year 1.2 million votes were cast.
Fallout 3 was named Ultimate game of the year and PC game of the year.
"The games industry remains innovative and vibrant despite economic pressures," said award organiser Emma Parkinson. "Many of the winners at the Golden Joystick’s demonstrate that UK talent remains crucial to the success of this industry across the globe and must be nurtured at all cost. I’m delighted by the record number of votes – gamers deserve to have their say about their favourite games, having spent £2.7 billion of their hard-earned cash in the toughest year the industry has experienced."
